I welcome you, dear reader!
Somehow you ended up here. Let’s see if that happened for a good reason.
First, a little test: It is the middle of the night, somewhere deep in the Caribbean. What do you think of when you hear that? If you don’t know what I am talking about -okay, it was a little tricky. But if you stay on the right track, you will find out sooner or later…
But if there is a smile on your face – Great, you are already inside the inner circle, and I am sure you can still hear the monkeys 🙂
Who am I?
My name is Marc, and I work as a software engineer in Berlin, Germany. I wake up every morning next do my wife in a suburb of Berlin. I love to write about things that fascinate me. By the way: I have/had a youtube channel – two to be precise. But this was years ago. Maybe, at some later point, I will start one again. But meanwhile, I love to twitter 🙂
I also like cheese cake.
What is this Blog all about?
I’ll make it short: I love computer games, movies, and replicas – the whole shebang. Let me give you an example: I love Indiana Jones. I don’t like the Crystal skull that much, but instead, I like the Last Crusade all the more.
Recently I had one of those days when you browse the Internet just out of boredom. Suddenly I stumbled upon it – A replica of the Grail Diary from the movie! Right away, I knew I had to have one.
Well, a few days later it had finally crossed the English Channel and was in my mailbox. What should I say? It’s fantastic! I love it! If you can relate to that, you’ve come to the right place. One could say this is geeky, but I would not go that far. Or perhaps I would. May each one decide that for themselves 🙂
And what is this all good for?
It’s absolutely obvious! Because… well… Maybe you can compare it to this situation: There was an IKEA commercial (Yes, the nightmare for every Saturday afternoon) which showed a young woman talking to her family:
Today we won’t buy any decorations!Young woman in an IKEA commercial
Hey wait, is that thing glowy?!
I don’t think we need any further explanation.
Is it Magic?
I don’t know what touches me when I see things such as the Grail Diary. Maybe it’s the magic of fiction entering reality. And don’t we all have a need for a little magic in our lives? I hope you find some of it here.
P. S.: I would appreciate your feedback.
